Matt and Katie Northcutt
Dear Pastor Friend:
Please allow me to recommend for your consideration the ministry of Brother Matt Northcutt. He has distinguished himself in the classroom of Ambassador Baptist College, both academically and testimony-wise. Matt and his wife, Katie, have both demonstrated a sincere desire to serve God, and their burden for the mission field is obvious.
Matt has been actively involved at Ambassador Baptist College, in several areas of the college ministry. He has traveled with musical groups for the college, and also works on the ABC staff in computer graphics design work. It is my privilege to be his pastor at Emmanuel Baptist Church, and Matt has been a faithful, involved church member. Now that Matt and Katie are married, she is also an active member of Emmanuel. It is a delight to have such fine young people in our church.
I believe Matt to be a man of integrity, principles, and discipline. He has a fine family background, and I have no doubt that he and Katie will make fine missionaries. Their burden is for a pioneering-type ministry, in a remote part of the world, and I believe that they have what it takes to be greatly used of God. They are certainly worthy of consideration by any fundamental, independent Baptist church. I trust that God will give you wisdom about the possibility of becoming involved in helping them get to the mission field.
Yours in Christ,

Charles L. Surrett,
Pastor, Emmanuel Baptist Church
Dear Pastor:
Though the student family at Ambassador Baptist College is by and large the “cream of the crop,” from time to time a student comes through that truly does rise to the top. Such was the case with both Matt and Katie Northcutt.
Matt entered Ambassador already focused on a ministry in missions, having begun his preparation even as a high school student. He was assured of God’s call on his life, and has remained focused on reaching the unreached. Because of this burden, Matt did his missions internship in Siberia, where he worked with a seasoned missionary, but also traveled to various towns and villages to assess the spiritual needs and the potential for ministry. He returned home confident that God used his internship to cement his call to these needy people.
Matt’s Bible education and practical training along with the discipline of a godly home, has equipped him for his ministry. His character and testimony have been above reproach. Katie, too, has had a sterling testimony throughout her college years and as an employee in the college finance office, and will be a valuable support and asset in the ministry. I give my wholehearted endorsement and recommendation of this young couple and urge you to prayerfully consider supporting Matt and Katie Northcutt and their ministry to Siberia.
Because of Calvary,

Ron Comfort
President, Ambassador Baptist College
Dear Pastor and friends,
My name is Kevin Jones, and I have served in Russia as a missionary for over 11 years. I am writing to recommend to you Matt and Katie Northcutt. I have known Matt for many years since his family lived in my home town and attended the same church.
Matt’s summer internship in Krasnoyarsk, Russia, was an enormous blessing and asset to our ministry. Two things that I appreciated most of all were his teachable spirit and his willingness to “jump in” and do anything he was asked. Also, he demonstrated a lot of initiative and had a great testimony in our church. Our people truly loved him and are excited that he will be returning to Russia as a missionary.
Many missionaries have come and gone over the years that I have been in Russia. I believe that Matt and Katie will be long-term missionaries because they will be able to avoid many of the mistakes others have made, and their ministry will be very profitable to the country of Russia and the many souls who need Jesus Christ as their Savior. Also, they will be going to an area which, I believe, has had little or no gospel witness. There have been no missionaries to the far north in our area. The Northcutts will begin to fill that need.
Matt and Katie will be serving in our ministry as they learn the Russian language and adapt to the Russian culture. This will prepare them for the ministry the Lord has for them in the far north of the Krasnoyarsk territory. It will also allow us to obtain permanent residency for them so that they can remain in Russia long-term.
I hope that you will consider supporting this couple and speeding them on their way to Russia. They are greatly needed to reach the people of the far north: “how shall they hear without a preacher.”
Serving the Savior in Siberia,

Kevin Jones
